Traditional Recipe
Ingredients Needed:
- Chicken or meat pieces
- Haneeth spice mix
- Lime (optional)
- Water
Instructions:
- In a large bowl, combine the haneeth spice mix with water to form a doughy consistency. Adjust the water as needed.
- Add the meat pieces and mix well. Optionally squeeze some lime juice over the meat. Cover and marinate for at least 3 hours or overnight in the refrigerator.
- Preheat the oven to 240°C (464°F).
- Place the marinated meat in a baking tray. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 60 minutes.
- Reduce oven temperature to 180°C (356°F) and continue cooking for 2 hours, stirring occasionally. Uncover during the last 30 minutes to allow browning.
- Remove from oven and serve immediately.
